Verified Clone Propagators of Spice of Life™

We don’t sell clones ourselves, but some of our customers do. Breeder Steve offers verification services in regards to our progeny. Some of these cuttings have been in circulation since our inception in 1995. Unsurprisingly, there are many imposters on the market, and we thought that this would be a thoughtful exercise in validating, or not, the clones in circulation bearing the Spice of Life cultivar names.

The independent propagators listed below are independent growers who’ve requested, and received, authentication of their cuttings by Breeder Steve. These growers are recognized for propagating and sharing their clones with a numbered Spice of Life Clones Certificate of Authenticity per cultivar verified. Hopefully this will help to keep these heirloom cultivars correct in the community. It is bad form when second rate reproductions, or just straight name rip offs, confuse the market.

Verified Heirlooms Cultivars

  • Sweet Pink Grapefruit — The Matriarch – the singular, clone-only cultivar. It is the mother of Sweet Skunk, Sweet Tooth and many others. The real Ruby Red!
  • Sweet Skunk — a singular, legendary, clone-only cultivar. Possibly the sweetest expresion of haze. There is no skunk in Sweet Skunk.
  • Sweet Tooth 3 — this cutting originated in the Basque Country in the early 2000s, where it has been lovingly conserved and circulated amongst the cool cats.
  • Sweet Tooth 3.1 — a long time grower of SwT#3 in the PNW selfed his favourite cut when he had to shut down for a while. He reselected a plant from those seeds which closely resembled the original. I thought that it was still the original, it’s that close!
  • Shishkaberry — multiple expressions of “Skb” exist, from different generations. Different codes will accompany each version. We are currently in the process of verifying a number of selections.

We still need to verify some true Shishkaberry and Blockhead cuts, and then we’ll add them here. If you know of any worthy candidates, feel free to recommend them!
